Cambio climático y activismo ambiental: el papel de los apegos al lugar

Resumen


El cambio climático está poniendo a la humanidad frente a una disyuntiva: actuar para reducir la huella ecológica del ser humano en el planeta, cuestionando la relación con el medioambiente, o seguir con el mismo modelo de desarrollo, adaptándonos a las consecuencias del cambio climático. Detrás de la decisión que tomemos, no sólo habrá razones económicas y hábitos de consumo, sino también muchas emociones que influyen en las respuestas al problema. En este artículo, se analiza el papel del vínculo afectivo con los lugares como emoción que puede influir en el compromiso con el medioambiente. Con el objetivo de contribuir a la literatura que estudia el papel de los apegos al lugar en la respuesta al cambio climático, se mostrará el papel de este vínculo a nivel local y global en el compromiso con el medioambiente por parte de un colectivo que está luchando en defensa del agua, en la Ciudad de México.
